Thoughts that inspired me...

We are all born with a blank mind and from then on we keep absorbing various thoughts picked from our parents, our teachers, books, friends, colleagues etc. Our ability to absorb them will obviously depend on factors like our intelligence, our sensibility, background etc. Based on that input we will keep developing a personality, and then at some point of time we tend to close the gates of our mind for new thoughts which is when we start having convictions and belief systems and from then on we start having a conflict with anyone who opposes.

All living beings are born with very individualistic and special attributes. But then the surroundings and surrounding factors stop them from realizing that for themselves or worse makes them realize it wrongly. A deer might have a running power, a lion its roar, an eagle can fly, somebody might have intelligence, someone else beauty, someone else nothing but even nothing can be very special. The secret of succeeding with life is to discover, understand and put your very own individual attributes to a very best and judicious use without guilt but with a very proper understanding.

The secret of succeeding with life is to discover, understand and put your very own individual attributes to a very best and judicious use without guilt but with a very proper understanding.

Let me quote a very good dialogue from the movie Rocky - "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that. Until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life."

When there is someone up there and he is worth being up there, try to learn from what he has achieved. But if you think he is not worth it, still try to learn from what he has achieved and add your own worth to it as it might result in you climbing far higher than him. But you should not sit on the ground, gaze at him with hateful eyes and wait for him to fall down, because his falling won’t help you in being elevated. That’s the order and course of life, and there is no point in hating that aspect.

Whoa... Where did I go?

Whoa... It's been a while. To be exact it's been 1 year 4 months and 16 days since my last Blog. Phewww.. that's a lot of time. What happened to all those things that I said in my first blog? One reason why I stopped writing is that I got very busy and did not get much time to write anything. It's not that now I am free and have ample time to brag but I thought I should continue my blog for the same reasons that I told in my first blog.

Remember what I said in my first blog - "I started writing blog because I like writing. I am passionate about it. I like to express things. I like to put whatever I feel in my heart on to a paper. It gives me lot of relief. You may call it as my stress buster."

There are two people that I should thank who really inspired me in getting back to writing. One RGV - Ram Gopal Varma. Lately, I started reading his blog and I became a big fan of his writings. I don't want to comment on his movies but as a writer he completely mesmerized me with his intuitive concepts and theories. Check out his blog whenever you get time - http://www.rgvzoomin.com/. The other person is my friend Riya. She brought back the memories of my good old days when I used to write frequently and how good I used to feel. I owe these two for inspiring me to take some time off my busy schedule and get back to what I really like to do. Thanks RGV and Riya. So, here I am back.

It's been hell a lot of time and lot of things happened during these 503 days. I changed two apartments, bought new furniture, successfully managed to survive through the recession without losing my job and I also visited a lot of places - Chicago(twice), Cincinnati, Boone Mountain in North Carolina, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Middletown in Connecticut, New York City (twice), Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Virginia Beach, Shenandoah Valley and the best of all Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Great Barrier Reef, Ballarat and Great Ocean Drive). Whoa... that's a long list. Did I tell you that travelling is one of my passions?

Also.. I learned to play Poker and tried my hand in the great Casinos of Connecticut, Las Vegas, Australia (of course with no Luck). Damn.. I never win in these Casinos but somehow they are very enticing. I will write something later on my association with these Casinos. I tried my best to learn Skiing and successfully managed to stand in the snow with those heavy shoes on and immediately realized that this sport is not for me. I did Skydiving and greeted the heavens in style. I did Snorkling in the Great Barrier Reef and was blessed by the beauty of the Ocean. The Sky Diving and Snorkling were both amazing and I can never forget those experiences in my life. I WILL definitely write something on these two. I dressed up like "Joker" of Batman for Halloween. I saw US Open live (watched Federer, Roddick, Sharapova and Hewitt in action).

Pretty busy huh.. And after all these, I still managed to remain single.

Cheers,
Venks
